Compare all 12

Anyone leaving Character.AI over the filter usually wants two things at once: an app without that one wall — and one that is free, no sign-up, and serious. The twelve apps here have different boundaries than Character.AI, but boundaries everywhere.

On Character.AI itself we hold no verified data. We did not subscribe and measured nothing, so this page carries no figure about that product. What is allowed there sits in its own guidelines and nowhere else.

What we have are the published rules of twelve vendors for whom adult content is part of the business model. The sober finding up front: there is no filter-free vendor on this list. There are only vendors with other boundaries — written with uneven honesty.

Four more apps, with fewer published figures

OurDream.ai, Xotic AI, Dondi.ai and GirlfriendGPT each have their own review on this site, but they publish fewer figures than the twelve in the table below: OurDream.ai states $19.99/month and 55 free dreamcoins at start; GirlfriendGPT states the free limit only as a 10–20 message range and no dollar price, but apps in the App Store and Google Play; Xotic AI and Dondi.ai publish no price. The comparison therefore sticks to the twelve that publish enough to compare.

What the twelve vendors themselves publish as the boundary

Adult content and hard bans, per vendor rule pages

VendorAdult contentBoundary the vendor itself names
Candy.ai Review Candy.aiYesEight ban categories, including depictions resembling minors, deepfakes, and celebrities
Kupid.ai Review Kupid.aiYesOwn 2257 statement; some content comes from verified uploaders
Lovescape Review LovescapeYesTen categories; every message is auto-checked; from the third attempt a human takes over
Secrets.ai Review Secrets.aiYesInputs checked before output; flagged items go to human moderation
Swipey Review SwipeyYesMarkets as “uncensored” yet still bans incest, zoophilia, and non-consensual
JOI AI Review JOI AIYes18 banned topics, including political opinions and religion
DreamGF.ai Review DreamGF.aiYesJailbreak attempts and real people expressly banned
DreamBF.ai Review DreamBF.aiYesSoft-ban and hard-ban word lists plus manual review
eHentai.ai Review eHentai.aiYesSame word-list mechanics; same operator as DreamGF.ai
DarLink Ai Review DarLink AiYesOn all plans, but only consensual; non-compliant requests are auto-blocked
GeneratePorn.ai Review GeneratePorn.aiYesPrompts checked before generation; a rejection is the rule, not a fault
FlirtCam.Ai Review FlirtCam.AiOnly after paymentBefore payment, per the vendor, nothing is explicit

The third column is not a rating — it is a paraphrase of what the vendor names on its own rule page as the absolute boundary. If a row surprises you, you have found the gap between “uncensored” and “no rules”.

The hard core is the same everywhere

One ban sits on all twelve, without exception and almost always first: depictions of minors, in every form and style. Next to it for most sit non-consensual content and likenesses of real people without consent. Anyone who left a filter because that wall was in the way only changes the wall’s colour.

Swipey is the clearest example. Help calls the platform uncensored and free of arbitrary content filters; the same vendor’s terms ban incest, zoophilia, and non-consensual content. Both are true at once. “Uncensored” in this industry means: no prudish filter on ordinary adult content — not: no rules.

Where the filters actually differ

The middle is where it gets interesting, and three outliers sit there.

JOI AI publishes 18 banned topics, and political opinions and religious beliefs sit beside the usual bans. That is a conversation filter, not a child-safety filter — anyone who wants to roleplay that should know. Per the vendor every reply is checked by a second model.

FlirtCam.Ai draws the line at the till, not in content: before payment, per its own wording, nothing is explicit; images and video stay blurred. The filter here is a paywall under another name.

GeneratePorn.ai checks inputs before credits are charged and states in its own rules that a rejection is not a service fault. Unpleasantly honest — and practical: a request rejected before start costs no credits; if a run aborts after processing begins, credits do not return.

What switching costs

Entry plans run from $7.99/month on Swipey to $25.99 renewal on DreamGF.ai, eHentai.ai, and DreamBF.ai — there the first charge is $12.99, then $25.99/month. In between: Candy.ai at $13.99, DarLink Ai at $12.99, GeneratePorn.ai at $14.99, Lovescape and Secrets.ai at $19.99 each.

Two figures are missing, and that is a finding, not a slip. JOI AI names three terms but no price. FlirtCam.Ai publishes none before login. Buy there and you see the amount first at checkout.

Kupid.ai breaks the pattern because it bills weekly: $12.99/week on Pro. Next to a monthly price it looks harmless — it is not. The annual version of the same plan is $179, which shows the weekly bill for what it is: the most expensive path to the same product.

What the free account actually gives

All twelve have a free account; none is built to last. Seven publish a numbered limit: Candy.ai five messages total, Kupid.ai 15/week, Swipey 10, eHentai.ai 10 plus two characters and four extra images, FlirtCam.Ai six, GeneratePorn.ai 48 credits (enough for three images), and JOI AI six image generations for the whole account life.

One detail that speaks for itself: Swipey’s terms write “five (10)” messages. Word and digit contradict in the same sentence, and no other vendor source resolves it. We report the digit and say it is uncertain; anyone who wants certainty should count five.

On Lovescape, DarLink Ai, DreamGF.ai and DreamBF.ai no number appears. Secrets.ai quantifies the start currency at 200 Moments but does not reveal the daily message cap; media generated on free accounts is deleted after 14 days.

How this page was made

We did not subscribe to any of these apps and do not claim otherwise. Every item comes from a public page of the respective vendor — pricing, terms, banned-content policy, help — linked below at the URL we read on 3 and 4 September 2026.

On Character.AI itself this page carries no figure and no rule. There is no verified source for that product here, and guessing from memory on a page about missing sources would undercut the point.

The limits of the method are simple. What a vendor publishes about prices, limits and rules can be checked against its pages; chat quality, response times and image quality cannot, so they are not rated here. What is not known is not on this page.

FAQ about Character AI alternatives

Is there a Character AI alternative with no filter?

Not in this overview. All twelve ban depictions of minors without exception; most also ban non-consensual content and real people without consent — including vendors that market “uncensored”. What differs is only how much stays allowed in between.

Which Character AI alternative is free?

All twelve have a free account; none is built to last. The tightest numbered limit is five messages total (Candy.ai); the most generous is 15/week (Kupid.ai). Four vendors publish no number at all.

What does switching cost per month?

Entry plans run from $7.99 to $25.99. Kupid.ai bills weekly; JOI AI and FlirtCam.Ai publish no price — there you see the amount only at checkout.

Where do the figures on this page come from?

Only from public vendor pages: pricing, terms, guidelines, and help, each linked below. On Character.AI itself there is no figure here because we have no verified source.
